UK young drivers are safer than European Counterparts


Young drivers in the UK are less likely to make an insurance claim than their European counterparts, according to new research by AXA. It was found that British drivers between the ages of 17 and 25 were 30% less likely to make a claim than young drivers in Spain or France and 25% less likely than young drivers in Germany.

The study also discovered that young British drivers were less likely to exceed the speed limit on motorways.

Despite the caution exercised by young drivers in the UK they are 10 times more likely to be involved in a fatal accident or seriously injured on the roads by more experienced drivers.
