The average cost of car insurance rises to 843 pounds

Drivers are being hit by a near 30 percent rise in car insurance premiums with the average being 843 pounds.

The area most affected is the North East of England where the average is around £1400, which is the equivalent of six times inflation!

Some people are looking at the fact that nearly half of annual premium for insurance goes towards claims for whiplash and fraud. Which is leading the industry calling for tighter regulations on PI lawyers and claims management companies.
